She is able, with only her words, to make me think, feel, learn and for a little while become someone I am not. " There is no writer who tells the story of a family better than Jodi Picoult. " A typical Jodi book, but still a good fast read. " I knew most of the bits about wolves and their behaviour but it was still an enjoyable read. " Loved learning about wolves but the story, not so much. always the same concept and outcome, some shockers and some pull you in, but Lone Wolf definitely didn't do that for me. I'm finding that reading every single book she has written is like reviewing each one thru a different character. " This was unfortunately one of the more boring of her books. I did however gain a lot of great knowledge about wolves and I loved that. " I enjoyed the book although I didn't read it as fast as I've read other Jodi Picoult books. Fairly predictable but I enjoyed learning the facts about wolves. I thought the story was fairly predictable, but I still enjoyed it. Maybe it was the wolf angle (because I love them and they are gorgeous). " 3.5 stars - Good book, I feel like Picoult's books had not been as good recently, but I really liked this one. I guess it's possible but I just couldn't see myself or any other 17-year-old I know taking these steps. What was more difficult for me was to buy into the plotline of Cara's (Luke's daughter) enlistment of her own attorney to represent her point of view. I fell in love with the wolf narrative - and was completely enthralled by Luke, the "wolf whisperer" who serves as the lightning rod for the book's commentary on how quality of life factors into end of life decisions, along with diverse opionions held by loved ones making such decisions.
